The Ferber method

Last night we started the Ferber method. I was so very hesitant to try this but as time went on co sleeping was becoming intolerable. At first it was just a lot of tossing and turning for both Stella and I. Then it turned into Stella kicking and punching me in the face and throat. The final straw(s) were her waking up few hours to eat. The last few nights it was every two hours and crying for what seemed like forever after she was done.

Well the first night of "ferberizing", which was last night, went ok. I finally put her in her crib at midnight. She cried as I suspected she would. I went in every 2, 4, 8, and 16 min. Then continued with the 16 two more times. She finally fell asleep at 1 am and woke up at 7:45 am.

To my relief, we found her playing quietly in her crib with a huge smile on her face. I was so scared she was going to wake up in the morning and hate me. Im so glad it was just the opposite. Lots of giggles, morning kisses, and hugs.
