This post is going to be a collection of many posts. I haven't updated in what seems like ages. I've been feeling really embarrassed about my blog. Feeling like its super unoriginal, although what these days is original? I was thinking about deleting it when a good friend gave me some encouragement to keep going. So here I am updating my neglected blog. Much has happened but I'll probably leave most of it out due to lack of excitement.

Stella and her daddy.
My lova, Auston, recently got a new job that changed our life. I am so incredibly proud of him. He landed a really good job that allows me to stay at home with our precious girl and capture all of the firsts. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't be the one to see her first step, hear her first words and see all her growth with my very own eyes. The only down sides is that we have to be apart for 3 to 6 months for extensive training and I know Stella and I are going to miss her daddy so much (and already do).We took sometime to think about what was best for our family and we decided that him moving up to train and me moving home to my parents would be best. Best for our daughter and best for our pocket book. So we started packing our things as quickly as possible since they wanted him to start ASAP. Man, I hate moving. I would love to move to one place and to have my belongings there for the rest of my life OR be able to only pack my most prized possessions and throw every other damn thing away. I hate things and i hate clutter.
bah humbug

That same weekend of moving my uncle Richard had his 50th birthday party. My whole family came to help me move and to attend the party. I love spending time with everyone. It makes me miss my great grandmother so much. She was the most amazing woman. Everyone who knew her loved her. That is why I named my daughter after her, Stella. My hope is that my daughter brings people joy like she did. It makes me sad that my Stella will never be able to meet that wonderful woman.

Stella & I
To say moving back home is an adjustment would be a major understatement. The biggest adjustment has been the weather. We left gorgeous beach weather (high 60's to mid 70's) to the devils  doorstep (high 90's and its just begun). Stella is having a really hard time adjusting to it. She is a little heat diva just like her mama. You think growing up in the climate, I would be used to it or even enjoy it but its just the opposite. Anyway, I was trying to get to the fact that I put Stella in the pool for the first time a few days ago and she LOVED it. Lots of kicking, splashing and squealing. We have been in the pool everyday since and I plan on keeping it that way till fall rolls around. After we swam in the pool we met my sister, auntie M, for lunch at one of our favorite mexican food restaurants.

sweet girl.

Today we had a play date with Stella's best friend Emma and her mama Rochelle. I hold these two very dear to my heart. Its so nice to have another mommy around to know exactly what you are going through. I didnt get a picture of Stella and Emma (which I am kicking myself for because they both looked so cute in their swimming suits) but I did get one of Stella.

Usually Stella sucks on her pointer, middle, and ring finger but lately I've caught her sucking on her thumb. Although it is a horrible habit to love it sure is cute.
okay okay.. no more writing. I'll just add in a few more pictures of my sweet girl that I haven't shared.

this is a picture of my grandpa as a baby. i see a lot of resemblance with stella
