This week has had a few first. I'll start off with the most recent; today I fed Stella her first mashed up banana. I only used about an inch worth but I've been very excited to see how she'd like it. At first she wasn't so sure and she'd make faces like "what on earth are you feeding me", but then she started making grunting noises and attacking the spoon. I'm thinking I need to buy more baby friendly spoons. The ones I have are for babies but the actual spoon part is much too deep and not padded enough. Anyway, it was adorable none the less.
She really cracks me up. It seems like everyday she is making new facial expressions and noises. I just wake up thinking "whats she going to do today". A few days ago she was sitting on Auston's lap and she decided, while he was holding her arms to secure her, that she wanted to hang upside down. Of course he called me into the room so we could both giggle and of course I got a snap shot of it. But when he tried to lift her up she started to cry. She put all of her weight into trying to lean back so Auston let her. She loved it. She was watching tv upside down and enjoying life's simple pleasures. If only adult life was that easy, right?

The only other thing besides hanging upside down that she wants to do all day is stand. I've started to lean her against the couch so she can stand independently and she loves it. She gets this look of pride on her face that's so adorable. I can't help but to follow her around all day snapping pictures of her. I'm surprised I still have memory left on my phone. I just can't get enough. But I guess I wouldn't be a good mom if I had the feeling of, eh.. been there, done that, seen her too many times.
The poor little peach has a rash on her tushie so I've been trying to let it air out naturally. The good thing is, is that she LOVES to be naked. Whenever she's grouchy the first approach I take is to change her diaper. Even if I know it's clean as a whistle or not. The moment her diaper is off she starts giggling and talking. I let her play on her blanket in her room butt naked and she kicked and screamed with delight.
