I don't think thank you is a good enough word. I heard your mom calling for you today... saying she loves you... saying she wants you back. I don't think that sound will ever leave my memory. I am honored to have had you in my life for so many years. I am honored that you chose to sacrifice your life for me and my family. You were a brave, loving, funny, and loyal man. I was reminded yesterday how precious and sweet life is. I am so thankful for today. I am so thankful for my family and for my friends and for my time I have here on this strange earth. I hugged Stella extra long and extra firm today. I don't want to sound dramatic but I want to remind all of you to embrace life, to embrace your loved ones and to be thankful for the troops doing a job that we choose not to do. Jared left behind an extremely sweet and loving family. He left behind his 18 month old son and his kind wife. Jared, I promise to never take my family, your family or time for granite. I will miss you and love you always.
